Her parents have always given her what she wants so when she doesnt get it, she throws a fit. Her mother had gotten her a 300 dollar purse, a new ipod a new cellphone and a bunch of new clothes for her birthday. she wanted more stuff and her mom said no so she got extremely out of control and upset when any normal kid would have been completely pleased.

Fallible-likely to fail or make errors; "everyone is fallible to some degree"

Synonyms: careless, deceptive, errable, errant, erring, faulty, frail, heedless, human, ignorant, imperfect, in question, liable, mortal, questionable, uncertain, unreliable, untrustworthy
Antonyms: infallible, perfect, reliable, strong, sure, unerring

Journal- We are fallible as human beings because if we weren't we wouldn't be able to progress or learn anything. Everyone makes mistakes and you need to use those mistakes as a stepping stool to success. If no one would make mistakes there would be no room for errors and we would have to live in a perfect world. Life and people are so judgmental as it is, i think it would be alot worse and a lot harder to cope with if mistakes weren't ok.

Affirmative-true: confirming or asserting that something is true

Synonyms: acknowledging, acquiescent, affirmatory, affirming, approving, complying, concurring, confirmative, confirmatory, confirming, consenting, corroborative, endorsing, favorable, positive, ratifying, supporting

Antonyms: dissenting, negative

The government put fourth a program called an affirmative action to make sure everyone in college was treated equally and that their was enough colored students at every college.

Journal Entry: 1)What is "Affirmative Action"? If you are not sure, look it up on line. How do you feel about this practice? Where does is it seem to work? Where might it seem a problem?

An affirmative action is program to stop discrimination: a policy or program aimed at countering discrimination against minorities and women, especially in employment and education. I think that this practice is a good idea. It is ideal for women in the middle east who don't have enough freedom over their own lives as they should. I think as it is good for them, it would also be a bad thing as well. The people in the middle east are big on males being the dominating power, and i dont think they would be able to handle it like we wuld like them too. It would most likely cause an uproar which would cause major conflicts.

Willpower-determination and self-discipline: a combination of determination and self-discipline that enables somebody to do something despite the difficulties involved

This school year, I believe that I have the willpower to finish the school year.

Journal entry:
This year, I find that I have the most will power over finishing out this school year to the best of my ability. I feel that I have always had the help and push from other people and this year I finally feel like I can do this for myself. I think another good exapmle of what I have willpower is for being a good mom. I know it will be tough but I will be able to do it. I am going to provide the best life I can for Landyn no matter what! The thing I have the least willpower for is without a doubt, cleaning. I really hate having to do it! I always promise myself I wont do it, but I always feel like i end up doing it more than I should! I keep myself driven by remembering that EVERYONE has to do it sometime in their lives and that when Landyn comes I need to make sure its spotless, so i have to really start to get in the pattern. If Matt and I are laxed about it now, its not big deal but once baby Landyn comes we have to make sure everything is in tip top shape!

My Sister Ashley

My sister Ashley has always been my best friend since day one. We have always been there for eachother through everything, no matter what. My parents got divorced when I was 3 and Ashley was 2, and we moved in with my dad. As you can tell,we're really close in age, but you would never be able to tell. Everyone thought we were twins, and sometimes people still think we are. We would occasionally get into fights like most sisters do, but most of the time it was alot of laughter and fun. My father got remarried when we were young, but after he and my stepmother got divorced, we were split up. Up until then, we had lived together all of our lives. She stayed with my dads ex wife and I went with my dad. After that, it seems like everything changed dramatically. We barely talk, and barely see eachother except for on holidays. It's extremely hard for me to be away from my sister, especially when I try to reach out to her but she never gets back to me. I understand that shes busy, and I respect that. I love my little sister and I am extremely proud of everythng she has accomplished throughout her life. I know right now we may not be as close as I want to be, but later on down the road I'm sure we'll be just like we were before. :)
